Dear DAVians,

The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.
Mahatma Gandhi

DAV has always been instrumental in fulfilling the foremost needs of the society with an unwavering belief that education begins at the grass-root level not just with the keenness to learn but also with the earnestness to act as an active contributor to the community.

One such effort that I am making a clarion call for is the sensitization and active participation in the Blood Donation Drive that is being organized from 5th November 2014 to 11th November 2014 inĀ  DAV Institutions nationwide.

Transfusion of blood every year saves millions of lives all over the world.  In addition, blood supplies need to be replenished constantly, as blood products have a short shelf-life. Realizing this, DAV takes the onus to create a network of young blood donors who commit to donating blood regularly and upholding the Aryan spirit in the real sense.

Through this noble deed, let us make an honest attempt to learn to enrich our lives by adding a meaning and purpose through self-less service and carry across the message to the society at large to donate blood and save precious lives. The schools may involve students in this drive by organizing poster-making, slogan-writing activities and signature campaigns in favour of Blood Donation.

Let us work together to make this Blood Donation Drive a huge success.
