Heritage 2010 :
Dayanand Institute of Education Management and Research, Navi Mumbai under the aegis of DAVCMC, New Delhi, organized a two day Annual National Conference on November 27-28 2010 at Kulachi Hansraj Model School, Ashok Vihar, New Delhi. The theme of the educational conference 'Inclusive Education: Challenges and Responses' to restructure and rebuild future education. In view of the new educational policy initiatives, it has become imperative to encourage and integrate Inclusive Education. It is expected that inclusive educational orientations shall enhance social and cultural understanding while contributing towards integrated conpetence building. The main objectives of the Conference were:-
To promote the philosophy of inclusion- all learners develop best when their experiences take place in a congenial environment with peers representing diverse social sectors.
To discuss inclusive education and intervention policies and programmes where learners (with and without disabilities or other special needs and abilities) work, play, and learn together.
To share innovative practices in governance, teaching - learning, curriculum management, assessment, assessment and evatution, strategic and academic planning of inclusive educational programmes.
To document and disseminate the discussions, deliberations and recommendations of the conference to enable all stake-holders in education to plan proactive action to be taken to further strengthen inclusive education in their spheres of influence
