D.A.V. AIDED SCHOOLS – EDUCATIONAL HERITAGE
D.A.V. Aided Schools have played a pivotal role in bringing about the educational renaissance in the country. Ever since the first D.A.V. School was founded in 1885 at Lahore, the D.A.V. Movement has been spreading the light of learning throughout the country and providing quality education to the masses based on vedic values
Realizing the immense contribution rendered by the DAV Movement and other such organizations in the field of education and to fulfill its social obligations, the Government provided Grant-in-aid to these schools to realize the objectives of the National System of education. These schools have a very rich history and old tradition of providing excellent education inculcating vedic values among the students. These schools, popularly referred to as traditional schools, became synonymous with excellence in education, co-curricular activities, sports, cultural activities and discipline besides instilling moral, ethical and spiritual values among the students. The general public reposed their faith in these institutions and as a result the aided schools became the most sought after institutions. These schools aim at producing not only intellectually brilliant but also morally upright men and women.
