A renowned Scientist, has made significant contribution in the development of the country's nuclear power programme. Held important positions in Nuclear Power Corporation of India such as Project Director, Director (Engineering), Senior Executive, Director (Technical) holding complete charge of technical as well as commercial functions of the Company. He has been a Member of the Board of Directors of Nuclear Power Corporation of India, Heavy Water Board, Nuclear Fuel Corporation, Technical Council of Indira Gandhi Centre of Atomic Research, etc. Because of his outstanding services, the Government of India bestowed him with the National Honour of "Padma Shree" in 2002 and “INS Homi Bhabha Lifetime Achievement Award” in 2005. He is presently working as President (Operations) in the leading Constructions Company - Gammon India Ltd.
