An educationist of repute, joined H.M. DAV Sr. Sec. School, Daryaganj, Delhi as teacher in 1953, retired as Principal, Hans Raj Model School, Punjabi Bagh, New Delhi. He joined Hans Raj Model School in 1970 and during his tenure as Principal-cum-Manager, the institution attained great heights and became a pace setter for other schools both D.A.V. and non D.A.V. He was member of Advisory Committee & Affiliation Committee of C.B.S.E. He was also a member of Advisory Committee, SCERT & Directorate of Education, Delhi. As secretary and Chairman of the National Progressive schools conference (an association of top schools of the country), he contributed a lot in the shaping of policies on education. He also remained President of the Action Committee representing all public schools in Delhi from 1997 to 2005. National awardee as teacher, author of the book, `Vedas for the Young’, associated with a number of educational and cultural organizations, has widely travelled to countries like Japan, U.K., Australia, USSR, Cairo, U.S.A. etc.
