A qualified Chartered Accountant and a law graduate practising since 1960 as a senior partner of S.P. Puri & Co. He has been associated with various taxation committees. He has conducted audit of many multinational companies, listed Public Limited Companies, Nationlised Banks, Insurance Companies and Trusts. He has also contributed and participated in seminars in India and abroad on topics concerning non-residents and foreign companies.

He has been associated with many Charitable Trusts and non-profit bodies. He has travelled widely in India and abroad.
