Born in 1938, done MA (Economics) from Delhi School of
Economics. Joined Hans Raj College, Delhi as Lecturer
in Economics in July 1962. Later appointed as Vice-Principal
in June 1986 and finally as Principal in 1992. Retired
in December 2003. Had been actively associated with NCERT,
NOS and CBSE and worked on formulation and revision of
syllabus, writing of Text books, teaching manuals, orientation
programmes etc., visited China, Russia, Korea and Singapore.
